Set up Zoku on a Mac
Five steps to the first named agent. Play with the live canvas on the homepage if you want to see the grammar before you install.
Step 1
Use macOS 14.2+
Zoku is a native Mac app. You need macOS 14.2+. On-device voice needs Apple Silicon.
Step 2
Install the CLIs you already pay for
Install Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or another CLI on your Mac. Zoku launches those binaries — it is not a new model subscription.
Step 3
Grant Microphone and Accessibility
Download Zoku and open it. On first launch it asks for Microphone and Accessibility so ⌥⌘ can hear you and steer agents from any app.
Step 4
Hold ⌥⌘
From any app, hold ⌥⌘ and speak. Speech is on-device (Parakeet). No Cloud plan for command voice.
Step 5
Spawn a worktree
Say “open a Claude worktree named auth-fix”. Zoku cuts the worktree, starts the agent, and puts it on its own canvas tile.
The canvas, worktrees, and on-device command voice are in the one-time Lifetime license. The talking companion is an optional Cloud add-on, bought in the app. More questions: FAQ.
