Privacy Policy

Zoku is an independent project operated by an individual developer (“Zoku,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect and why. Questions? Email pd@heyzoku.com.

What we collect

  • Account data — your sign-in identity (via Supabase Auth, using Google sign-in) and basic profile.
  • Usage & cost data — token/usage counts per request so we can meter and bill fairly.
  • Your prompts and voice/text content are sent to AI model providers (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI) to generate responses. Speech recognition and speech synthesis run on your device where possible.
  • Website analytics — see “Analytics & cookies” below.

Analytics & cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used (which pages people visit, whether they download the app). We run it with Google Consent Mode (analytics storage on for site measurement; advertising storage off), IP anonymization, and no ad personalization. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Service providers we use

We rely on third parties to run Zoku. They process data only to provide their service to us: Supabase (database & authentication), Vercel (website hosting), Google Analytics (website measurement), Resend (email), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI models), Tavily (web search), DodoPayments (payments, as merchant of record), Sentry (error monitoring), and Cloudflare (bot protection).

How we protect data

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). We log request metadata for debugging and abuse prevention, but we do not log your prompts, audio, or message content by default. See our Security page.

Data retention

Account and usage data is kept while your account is active. If you cancel and close your account, we delete it on request.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing pd@heyzoku.com. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR or CCPA; we honor them regardless of location.

Changes

We’ll update this page as Zoku grows (for example, when accounts and payments go live) and revise the “last updated” date.
