Terms of Service
Last updated: August 27, 2026
These terms govern your use of Zoku, a macOS application, and the Zoku website. Zoku is an independent project operated by an individual developer. By downloading or using Zoku you agree to these terms. Contact: pd@heyzoku.com.
The service
Zoku is a voice-controlled app for macOS (it requires macOS 14.2+) that runs coding-agent command-line tools installed on your own machine. Access to the app is granted by a one-time license purchase. Cloud is a separate, optional monthly subscription that covers Zoku’s hosted voice companion and tools; it is not required to use the app. Features and pricing may change, and we’ll keep this page and the pricing page current.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use Zoku for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Don’t attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Don’t resell or misrepresent the service.
AI output disclaimer
Zoku uses AI models that can produce inaccurate or incomplete information. Output is not professional, legal, financial, or medical advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying anything you act on, and for any actions Zoku takes on your behalf.
Accounts, licenses & billing
The Zoku app license is a one-time purchase, billed once. Cloud, if you add it, is a monthly subscription billed in advance that renews automatically until you cancel; cancelling stops future renewals at the end of the current period and never revokes your app license. Payments are processed by DodoPayments as merchant of record. Lifetime purchases may be refunded in full within 14 days of payment: email pd@heyzoku.com. A full refund revokes the license. Cloud subscription refunds follow the terms shown at checkout. You can manage or cancel Cloud at any time from your account. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
Intellectual property
Zoku and its branding belong to us. You retain ownership of the content you provide; you grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service (for example, sending your prompts to AI providers to generate responses).
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to protect the service. You can stop using Zoku and request account deletion at any time.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zoku is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves and will revise the “last updated” date. Continued use means you accept the changes.
